“Otto Braun (* 27. June 1897 in Berlin; † 29. April 1918 at Marcelcave, Somme department, France) was a German poet. During his lifetime, without his knowledge and consent, only one poem was published in a magazine. After the First World War on the other hand, his works were published posthumously in Germany, Great Britain and the United States and were quite popular, in Germany even a bestseller. For example, he was by authors like Rudolf Borchardt, Hugo von Hofmannsthal and Rudolf Alexander Schröder praised.”
